No, we will not be allowing you to select a soul name. I cannot allow for a system where you can alter a soul name and I cannot allow for a system that may cause somebody to cringe at their eternal soul name. Your soul name will be a long series of letters and numbers. Obviously we can't stop you from putting "I name my soul Narmbapop" in your database but there will never be anything official about it. I personally would cringe at any soul name that is their own made up noise, I'd be fine with use of symbolic language.
